Trane has upgraded its Sintesis Advantage CGAF air-cooled chillers and CXAF air-to-water heat pumps in the 130–350 kW (approx. 37–100 refrigeration tons) capacity range. The changes are designed to improve reliability and seasonal efficiency, reduce sound levels and support safer operation in cold-weather conditions.
The enhancements include an improved refrigerant circuit design and a new condensate management system. The system evacuates condensate during operation to reduce the likelihood of icy or slippery surfaces forming around the unit during winter operation.
For applications with acoustic requirements, Trane has introduced an XXLN super low-noise option. According to the company, it can reduce sound levels by up to 10 dB(A) compared with standard units without compromising seasonal efficiency.
Trane has also applied the design enhancements to its Sintesis CXAF air-to-water heat pump range. The CXAF delivers an average seasonal cooling efficiency of up to 201%, alongside its heating operation, to support year-round use in commercial buildings.
“These upgrades reflect a broad engineering effort across the platform to respond to higher customer demands, especially for light commercial applications up to 350 kW. We combine rigorous testing with decades of field experience to continuously improve our products and deliver quieter operation, improved reliability and higher efficiency,” said Alberto Bellù, Product Manager CHVAC EMEA ANZ at Trane.
The upgraded CGAF and CXAF models are now available to order.
