CSafe Global, the innovation leader in temperature-controlled container solutions for the transport of life-enhancing pharmaceuticals, announced today that Venu Vinjamaram has officially joined the company’s senior leadership team as Senior Vice President of Technology and Innovation.

CSafe has been driving a digital transformation effort within the company for some time. “With the launch of our shipment visibility platform and our future plans for additional digital innovations in the cold chain industry, we need strong technical expertise at the senior team level to drive strategic development and growth with focus on continuous transformation which includes efficiency, security and user experience,” said CSafe CEO, Patrick Schafer of the decision to add the new role.

“Venu brings nearly 25 years’ experience as a technology executive within the healthcare and cold chain logistics industries,” Schafer continued. “His focus on partnership, team building, innovation and delivering on strategic plans aligns perfectly with our vision for the future of our business. I am delighted to have Venu on board for this next phase in CSafe’s long history of success.”

Vinjamaram joins CSafe Global following a long career with AmerisourceBergen, where he held several technical and executive roles. In his most recent role with AmerisourceBergen, he provided technology leadership at World Courier and had responsibility for a multi-year digital transformation initiative. In his new role at CSafe, he will be responsible for Information Technology and digital strategy spanning applications, data, cybersecurity and infrastructure.

“Joining CSafe now – as the company continues to grow and deliver new innovations in both thermal packaging and digital solutions – is exciting at a professional level and satisfying at a personal level because I will remain in the healthcare industry and have the opportunity to positively impact patients’ lives,” said Vinjamaram. “I think the timing is perfect for both the organization and for me. This is a unique opportunity to contribute in a significant way to the future of the cold chain industry and I am ready to get to work and see what great things we can all accomplish together.”
