Carrier Transicold China Launches Two New Citimax Refrigeration Units

To support the increased need for pharmaceutical transportation and e-commerce demand, Carrier Transicold launched two new products in the Citimax unit line. The new Citimax 1000 and Citimax 1100 units were developed to support heavy-duty refrigerated trucks with high-roof cabs.

Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, biotechnology and pharmaceutical health industries experienced a rapid increase in demand. Both the rise of e-commerce and the increased need for pharmaceutical transportation have created demand for cold chain logistics, and the industry is facing challenges to fulfill the need.

"To help the cold chain industry better meet the challenges, Carrier Transicold’s research and development team created the new Citimax 1000 and 1100 products, which provide a solution for heavy-duty refrigerated trucks without cutting the cabs roof," said Cynthia Lu, Managing Director of Carrier Transicold Asia Pacific.

As product extensions in the Citimax series, the new models deliver the same reliable quality, strong cooling and accurate temperature control and also offer unique features created for the heavy-duty trucks, including:

  • Ultra-thin condensers: Customers can easily flip the cab without modifying the top of the truck cab. The cover is made of polypropylene and acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (PP+ABS), which is lightweight and has a long life span without worrying about deformation, discoloration or rusting the cover.
  • Strong cooling/heating capacity: Sufficient air volume ensures rapid cooling and stable temperature distribution in the compartment.
  • Wide temperature range and accurate temperature control. With set points of -29 C to 29 C and +/-1 degree within the range of accurate temperature control, customers can ensure goods are transported at precise temperatures.
  • Slim and compact evaporator: Saving more space in the compartment for cargo placement.

As a result of continuous support of policy change and the growing demand for food and pharmaceutical cold chain, China's cold chain logistics is becoming an important part of the process of improving quality of life.

“Carrier Transicold continues to strive for excellence with the development of energy saving, environmentally sustainable technologies with low greenhouse gas and noise emissions. These advanced cold chain solutions will continue to help develop China's cold chain, and build better solutions for people and the planet,” said Lu.
