Danfoss adds OUB to CO2 oil management portfolio

Danfoss has introduced OUB, a new range of oil separators and receivers for CO2 transcritical systems in commercial and industrial applications. The range is designed to help OEMs and system designers protect compressors, maintain stable operation and improve efficiency.

OUB is part of Danfoss’ CO2 oil management ecosystem and offers up to 140 bar operating pressure (approx. 2,031 psi), advanced filtration and options across serviceable and hermetic types. Danfoss says the range is intended for demanding high-pressure CO2 environments.

The range includes three variants: OUB-TSR, a serviceable model with receiver; OUB-TSN, a serviceable model without receiver; and OUB-THR, a hermetic model with receiver. Serviceable models provide filtration down to 0.3 microns (approx. 0.000012 in), three-stage coalescing filtration, and a multi-layer filter design with stainless steel mesh, fibre fleece and perforated metal.

Serviceable OUB models also feature over 3300 cm² filtration area (approx. 512 in²) in a V-shape design, replaceable filter inserts and standardized connections. Hermetic models use demister technology for 3–10 micron filtration (approx. 0.00012–0.00039 in) and are designed for maintenance-free operation.

“With OUB, we’re giving OEMs a technically advanced oil management solution that integrates seamlessly into high-pressure CO2 systems. It’s engineered for reliability, serviceability and long-term performance in demanding applications,” said Mark Sever, Global Solutions Expert at Danfoss.

“We’ve focused on proven engineering and practical usability. For technicians, that means clear access, efficient servicing and confidence in long-term operation,” said Mark Sever, Global Solutions Expert at Danfoss.
