ebm‑papst has launched a new generation of RadiPac EC centrifugal fans specifically designed for filter-fan-units (FFUs) used in cleanrooms across high-tech industries such as semiconductor manufacturing, medical technology, and aerospace.
The new RadiPac fans provide air volumes of up to 2,330 m³/h and achieve efficiency levels over 60% through the use of EC motor technology and a redesigned impeller. According to the manufacturer, this results in a 10% reduction in power consumption and a noise level reduction of 6 to 7 dB compared to previous industry standards.
A key feature is the impeller’s new geometry with five aerodynamically optimized blades, developed to minimize flow losses and reduce noise. The fans are equipped with compact EC motors ranging from 170 to 500 W, and a MODBUS RTU interface with automated daisy chain addressing (DCI), allowing for faster and simplified integration into building automation systems.
Available either as complete plug-and-play units or as individual components, the fans have installation depths between 190 and 275 mm and diameters from 280 to 400 mm, making them suitable for space-constrained or retrofit applications. Optional accessories such as the FlowGrid inlet guard help reduce turbulence and offer additional safety.
The RadiPac EC fans meet international cleanroom standards and are designed for global use.
