Haier has launched a commercial R290 air-to-water monobloc heat pump for offices, hotels, restaurants, gyms and small commercial buildings across Europe. The range provides space heating, cooling and domestic hot water production through a single system.
The units are available with capacities of 26, 30, 35 and 40 kW (approximately 88,700, 102,400, 119,400 and 136,500 BTU/h). Up to eight units can be cascaded to provide a maximum capacity of 320 kW (approximately 1.09 million BTU/h).
Using R290 propane refrigerant, the heat pump achieves energy efficiency ratings of up to A+++ and SCOP values of up to 4.91. It can produce hot water at temperatures of up to 80°C (176°F), supporting new-build and renovation projects with domestic hot water requirements.
The monobloc design integrates the refrigeration circuit into one outdoor unit and requires hydraulic connections on site. The system includes a refrigerant leak detector, refrigerant separator, sealed electrical control box, two-core wiring, zone control and sound levels starting from 47 dB(A).
“This product represents a significant step in the expansion of the Haier Air-to-water portfolio, enabling us to address a broader range of commercial heating and cooling applications. Designed with simplicity, flexibility and efficiency in mind, the unit integrates seamlessly with existing systems, providing a practical pathway for organisations looking to transition away from fossil fuel-based heating technologies,” said Richard Sherlock, Heat Pump Product Manager.
