LAUDA Launches Command Professional App for Enhanced Equipment Control

Advanced mobile app enables flexible, secure remote control of temperature systems.

LAUDA Dr. R. Wobser GmbH & Co. KG has released the Command Professional app, an upgraded version of its existing digital control solution for constant temperature equipment. Designed for use within secured company networks, the app enables technicians and researchers to monitor and manage temperature systems via smartphones and tablets. The launch marks LAUDA’s first foray into subscription-based software models and reinforces its role in digital transformation within the temperature control sector.

Product Overview

Building on the capabilities of the free Command app, the Professional version offers additional features tailored for industrial and laboratory environments. Users can program, save, and initiate up to five temperature-time programs. The app also enables real-time graphical display of temperature curves, export of data for analysis, and access to both measured values and set points for detailed reporting.

Security remains central to the app's design, with encrypted data transmission, two-factor authentication, and PKI digital certificates. It is fully compliant with the applicable Machinery Directive and integrates into existing lab infrastructures.

Flexible Access and Continuous Updates

The Command Professional app introduces a subscription model with annual cancellation flexibility, aimed at users with short-term or project-specific needs. The app is compatible with LAUDA Integral and LAUDA Variocool process thermostats, and support for the Universa product line is planned.

Regular updates will expand device compatibility and functionality, aligning the app with evolving user requirements.

“The LAUDA Command Professional app is more than a remote control system – it is an important step towards more connected and efficient laboratories and production facilities,” said Enrico Bossart, Head of Product Management. “The app allows us to support our customers in the digitalization of their processes, while preserving the LAUDA precision and reliability they have come to expect.”
