Secop expands NLV-CN propane compressor range with NLV15CN

Secop has expanded its variable-speed NLV-CN and NLVE-CN propane compressor range with the new NLV15CN for food retail, food storage and other commercial applications. The compressor is designed for LBP and MBP applications and combines cooling capacity, configurable features and integration in a single unit.

The NLV15CN delivers a maximum capacity of 1266 W (4323 BTU/h) at ASHRAE LBP conditions and 1954 W (6672 BTU/h) at ASHRAE MBP conditions. According to Secop, the variable-speed design can provide up to 40% energy savings compared with fixed-speed compressors operating in on/off mode.

Secop offers Core Functions (CF), Multipurpose (MP) and Extended (XT) electronic controllers. CF controllers are available for NLV-CN and NLVE-CN compressors, while MP and XT versions are available for NLV-CN models. MP controllers support features including Modbus connection, emergency mode and alarms, with a GFCI version also available.

XT controllers are intended for specialised and critical applications, including medical use, and support monitoring of cabinet parameters such as fans, lights, heaters and door sensors. Speed can be controlled through Adaptive Energy Optimisation, frequency signals or serial communication. MP and XT multi-voltage controllers support a wide operating voltage range for use with different voltages and frequencies.

The compressor range for MP and XT controllers includes NLV8.0CN, NLV10CN and NLV12.6CN models with metric or inch connectors. The NLV15CN is available for MP controllers with metric connectors under code 105H7520 and inch connectors under code 105H7522.

CF-compatible models include CCC-certified NLV8.0CN, NLV10CN and NLV12.6CN compressors with metric connectors, as well as the UL Recognized NLVE13CN with inch connectors.
