Manchester to Host Groundbreaking Conference on Refrigeration and Climate Adaptation

The Institute of Refrigeration UK has announced the 1st IIR International Conference On The Role Of Refrigeration In Adapting To Rising Ambient Temperatures. This ground-breaking event will take place in Manchester, UK, from 10 to 12 August 2025.

As global temperatures rise, the refrigeration, air conditioning, and heat pump (RACHP) sectors face increasingly complex challenges. This conference aims to address these issues by promoting the exchange of ideas and innovation among experts committed to developing sustainable solutions.

A call for papers will soon be issued, inviting contributions that showcase case studies, innovation, research, and expertise. The conference is expected to attract a diverse audience of academics, engineers, industry leaders, and policymakers. Topics will include:

  • Managing Risk
  • Environmental and Social Governance
  • The Future Landscape of RACHP

Attendees will have the opportunity to explore technical challenges, gain sector-specific insights, and build networks for collaboration. The event is organized by the International Refrigeration Committee of the IOR, on behalf of the IIR.
