Panasonic has launched a new production line at its Pilsen factory in the Czech Republic for the Big Aquarea M Series air-to-water heat pumps. This €2.6 million investment boosts Panasonic’s capacity to meet the increasing demand for eco-friendly heating solutions in Europe. The Big Aquarea, designed for multi-family homes and light commercial buildings, supports the shift towards decarbonized heating systems.
Located in the Borská Pole industrial zone, the new line marks the first production of large-capacity units at the Pilsen site. “We are proud to reaffirm our commitment to heat pump production in Europe,” said Hiroshi Komatsubara, Managing Director of Panasonic Heating & Ventilation Air-Conditioning Czech, highlighting the expansion to meet regional demand for energy-efficient heating solutions.
The Big Aquarea T-CAP M Series, with outputs from 20 to 30 kW and up to 300 kW in cascade, offers a compact, sustainable alternative to fossil fuels, suitable for integration with systems like fan coils and floor heating. Key features include a high COP of 4.91, low noise, flexible controls, Modbus integration, and Wi-Fi for smart cloud services.
