Rhoss launches Electa PI R290 heat pumps for residential use

Rhoss S.p.A. has introduced the Electa PI range of reversible heat pumps using natural R290 refrigerant, designed for residential applications. The new series targets both new installations and refurbishment projects, including the replacement of traditional heating systems such as boilers, with models covering capacities from 4 to 16 kW.

The units use R290 refrigerant with low global warming potential (GWP), which is exempt from fluorinated gas restrictions. The range achieves A+++ efficiency and features full inverter control to optimize performance and energy consumption. Electa PI heat pumps can deliver hot water temperatures up to 80°C, enabling their use as replacements for high-temperature heat generators, and operate across a wide outdoor temperature range, supporting domestic hot water production from –25°C to +45°C.

The system is compatible with radiant heating, fan coils, and radiators, and integrates management of system components, secondary circuits, and domestic hot water production. Each unit includes an EC circulator and degasser as part of the full inverter configuration.

For larger applications, master/slave logic allows connection of up to six units, with a combined capacity of up to 93 kW. The range also includes Smart Grid functionality for photovoltaic systems and control options via a 5-inch touchscreen, Wi-Fi, Modbus, and a mobile app for iOS and Android.

The Electa PI series features a total black design and offers an optional inertial tank installed under the unit.
