SUNON has launched its Green EC Fan Series for high-density computing and AI infrastructure, targeting the EU ErP 2026 energy-efficiency requirements. The series combines electronically commutated motors with airflow control, system monitoring and protection options for data centers and other industrial applications.
The fans integrate Modbus-RTU communication and PWM speed control. Their onboard electronic controls provide real-time status monitoring and allow host systems to adjust fan speeds according to thermal loads through Dynamic Power Allocation compatibility.
The series supports single-phase 200–277VAC and three-phase 380–480VAC power architectures through auto-sensing circuitry. SUNON also said its EC motor technology is designed to scale with evolving 800VDC infrastructure for AI data centers, high-performance computing platforms, HVAC systems, energy storage systems and EV charging stations.
Protection options include IP55 versions for humid commercial refrigeration environments and IP68-rated solutions for outdoor energy storage and EV charging applications. The series also includes models with EU ATEX gas explosion-proof certification for hazardous environments in petrochemical, pharmaceutical, food processing and new energy plants.
SUNON redesigned the fan blades using fluid dynamics simulation to increase curvature and surface area. The series also uses the company’s vertical MagLev System and high-temperature-resistant VAPO sleeve bearings to stabilize the rotor, reduce vibration and extend operating life.
