SYCLEF Opens Refrigeration and HVAC Training Centre in France

SYCLEF opened a new Centre of Excellence for refrigeration and HVAC training on October 19, 2026, at its headquarters in Meyreuil, France. The 750 m² (approximately 8,073 sq ft) facility combines classroom instruction and practical training to develop employees’ technical skills and address changing technological and regulatory requirements.

The centre offers training modules lasting two to four days, alongside customised learning programmes. Sessions are limited to six participants and focus on hands-on equipment operation and practical scenarios. Training content and equipment were developed by SYCLEF’s in-house experts and trainers in collaboration with the Group’s companies.

The facility includes two technical training areas. The Fundamentals area contains a brazing workshop, eight individual refrigeration training units, control system simulators and virtual reality tools for practising refrigerant handling. The Advanced Training area features a transcritical CO2 refrigeration system, an HFC refrigeration system, a dual-flow air handling unit, a variable refrigerant flow (VRF) air conditioning system, and dedicated hydraulic and airflow training units.

The training programmes cover refrigeration, HVAC, air handling and hydraulic systems, with an emphasis on developing practical skills for equipment installation, operation and maintenance. The modular training areas support both standard courses and programmes tailored to individual teams.

The centre becomes part of SYCLEF Academy, established in 2021 following the launch of the Group’s first training campus in 2019. The Academy now operates through three areas: vocational training campuses, continuing professional development delivered within Group companies, and the new Centre of Excellence. Its programmes support initial vocational training, career retraining and ongoing technical skills development.
