Vertiv plans to expand its manufacturing and testing footprint across Ireland and the North West to support growing demand for infrastructure solutions for AI, colocation and hyperscale data centre deployments.
The company will submit an application to Donegal County Council to add 7,000 square metres (approx. 75,350 sq. ft.) of space at its Letterkenny facility. The proposed expansion is expected to support the creation of up to 300 new jobs in the region.
Vertiv operates facilities in Letterkenny, Burnfoot and Campsie (Derry), as well as a Central Procurement Office in Limerick and a sales and service office in Dublin. Since the beginning of 2026, the company has onboarded more than 500 employees across its local facilities and continues to recruit for engineering and operational positions.
The additional roles are intended to expand manufacturing capacity and technical expertise in power, cooling and industrialised infrastructure solutions used for AI, data centre and critical industrial applications. The proposed project is supported by the Irish Government through IDA Ireland.
“This planned investment reflects the strategic importance of our operations across Ireland and the North West. As demand for critical digital infrastructure continues to accelerate, we are helping customers to deploy AI and data centre capacity worldwide,” said Paul Ryan, president of Vertiv in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA).
