AICVF conference on the attractiveness of HVAC professions for young people

The AICVF conference in Paris on January 11th focused on the appeal of HVAC careers to young people and the promotion of gender diversity in the profession. The event included two panel discussions on making HVAC professions more appealing to new generations and supporting the inclusion of women in the industry.

The first panel discussed the need to make HVAC professions better known to young people and to raise awareness about energy-related issues. Presenters highlighted efforts such as career and qualification events and climate change awareness initiatives to address this issue.

The second panel addressed the obstacles to increasing female representation in HVAC professions. Companies shared their actions to promote diversity, such as the “WE Do for Tech” program, which organizes meetings between young girls and employees. Both small and large companies are taking voluntary steps to increase the number of women in their workforce.

AICVF President Frank Hovorka expressed pride in addressing the issue of gender diversity and emphasized the importance of continuing efforts to promote diversity. He also presented his wishes for 2024, acknowledging the challenges expected in the HVAC industry but stressing the importance of investing in training and skills to prepare for the future.
