Constellation Cold Logistics has acquired a cold storage facility in Køge, Denmark, previously operated by JN-Spedition East. The site officially became part of Constellation’s network on 1 December 2025, following a recently signed acquisition agreement.
Located on the east coast of Zealand, about 40 km south of Copenhagen, the Køge facility adds 20,000 pallet positions to Constellation’s temperature-controlled storage capacity. The site is known for its food storage services and long-standing customer relationships within the cold supply chain.
This acquisition supports Constellation’s strategy to grow its cold logistics platform across Europe while retaining local operational flexibility. The addition strengthens its presence in the Nordic region and enhances service to both domestic and international customers.
In a separate transaction, Constellation also announced an agreement to acquire Spedition Wohlert and Wohlert Kühl Logistik in Germany, marking its entry into the German market. This expansion adds 40,000 pallet positions, a national distribution fleet of 150 vehicles, and a wide range of value-added logistics services, including blast freezing, order picking, and crate washing.
Spedition Wohlert operates two main cold stores in Schleswig-Holstein and three satellite facilities in Teterow, Rastede, and Kassel. The company, founded in 1950, has evolved from a livestock trading business into a full-service cold logistics provider for the food industry.
