FläktGroup opens HVAC manufacturing facility in India

FläktGroup inaugurated a new manufacturing facility in Pune, Maharashtra, India, on August 12, expanding its local production capacity for HVAC and critical cooling equipment. The site is intended to support customers in India and the wider Asia Pacific market with local manufacturing and engineering capabilities.

The facility covers approximately 13,800 m² (148,500 ft²), including more than 12,000 m² (129,200 ft²) of production space, as well as areas for testing, research and engineering, offices and support functions. It is designed to manufacture Air Handling Units (AHUs), Fan Wall Units (FWUs), CRAH/CRAC solutions and heat exchangers, with manufacturing capacity of up to approximately 6,500 units annually.

FläktGroup said its Indian business has grown at more than 30% CAGR over the past five years, supported by demand from data centres, pharmaceuticals, industrial manufacturing, commercial HVAC and other mission-critical applications. The company cited growth in cloud computing, artificial intelligence and data-intensive technologies as factors accelerating data-centre investment and demand for critical cooling solutions.

The project received management approval in December 2025, with the facility taken over while under construction in January 2026. FläktGroup said its teams made the plant operational within six months, with the first customer dispatch completed in July 2026.

“FläktGroup India has grown at more than 30% CAGR over the past five years, and this facility represents an investment to continue on this growth path. Pune gives us the capacity and agility to remain closer to our customers, respond faster and support the next generation of critical HVAC requirements in India,” said Devraj Singh, Managing Director, FläktGroup India.
