The Global Cold Chain Alliance (GCCA) will bring temperature-controlled logistics leaders and supply chain stakeholders together at its Africa Cold Chain Conference in South Africa on September 2–3, 2026. The event will focus on industry dialogue around challenges and opportunities in temperature-controlled logistics.
Under the theme “It’s Time for Dialogue,” delegates will join GCCA President & CEO Sara Stickler and GCCA Africa Chairman Dr Newton Matope, CEO of Cold Solutions Kenya. The conference will bring together third-party logistics providers, supply chain partners, customers, politicians and other stakeholders.
Mohammed Mahomedy, Head of Infrastructure and Rail for Africa at DP World, will deliver the keynote on September 3, sharing insights into DP World’s approach to integrated logistics at scale. Other sessions will cover Africa’s business trading climate and geopolitics, trade policy, freight forwarding, sustainable food systems, and people and partnerships.
Speakers include Chris Hattingh, Executive Director at the Centre for Risk Analysis; Dr. Martin Cameron, Managing Director at Trade Research Advisory (Pty) Ltd; Dr. Juanita Maree, CEO of the Southern African Association of Freight Forwarders; Dr Ikechukwu Opara of the University of the Western Cape; and Cassandra Potteiger, Head of Strategy, Marketing and Communication at SA Harvest.
