Stride to lead refrigerant lifecycle management expansion across Canada.
A-Gas has appointed Andrew Stride as General Manager of its Canadian business, with a mandate to grow the company’s lifecycle refrigerant management (LRM) services nationwide. The move follows the company’s recent acquisition of Refrigerant Services Inc. (RSI) and signals a strategic expansion into Nova Scotia.
Stride, who joined A-Gas in 2021 and became Director of Operations in Canada in 2023, was instrumental in launching the Stoney Creek, Ontario facility. Under his leadership, the greenfield site became a fully operational refrigerant down-packing location. He also led the operational integration of RSI, ensuring continuity in service quality and customer support across the expanded network.
A-Gas’ Canadian facilities, including its Hamilton site and RSI’s Dartmouth location, will now process and reclaim recovered refrigerants to AHRI-700 standards. These sites feature on-site chemical analysis labs and offer high-speed recovery, reclaimed refrigerant supply, and analytical services. The expansion supports A-Gas’ goal of promoting circular economy practices through its refrigerant reclaim program.
As part of the RSI acquisition, A-Gas has joined the Refrigerant Management Canada (RMC) Pollution Prevention (P2) Program. The initiative aligns with A-Gas’ commitment to responsible refrigerant recovery, reuse, and emissions reduction.
