The Climate Control Companies Association of New Zealand (CCCANZ) is calling for expressions of interest from members to represent the association on the TDSR Board. The board will expand to include representatives from IRHACE, CCCANZ, HPSA NZ and the Motor Trade Association.
The expanded representation is intended to give industries directly involved in synthetic refrigerants a stronger role in governing New Zealand’s regulated Product Stewardship Scheme. The Government is progressing the regulations, and the scheme is expected to begin in May 2027.
The successful CCCANZ representative will be expected to provide industry knowledge, governance skills and a commitment to representing members’ interests while supporting the scheme’s objectives.
Expressions of interest open on 6 August and close on 21 August 2026.
“CCCANZ supports progressing a related product stewardship scheme for synthetic refrigerants,” said CCCANZ Chair Gary Reily. “It is important that the scheme is practical, cost-effective and designed in a way that supports businesses to participate and succeed, with minimal complexity or compliance costs.”
