Phononic, a leader in solid-state cooling technology, has appointed PJ Stafford as Senior Vice President Sales – Cold Chain. Stafford, with his extensive experience in the grocery industry and omnichannel solutions, is expected to enhance Phononic's presence in the expanding e-Grocery sector.
Stafford previously served as the solutions manager on the Kroger account for Ocado Solutions USA, where he played a key role in implementing the Ocado Smart Platform across Kroger Central Fulfillment Centers. His past experience also includes advising Fresh Local Solutions and FoodX Technologies on e-grocery strategies and leading a pilot program at Alert Innovation that improved a grocer's in-store automated order fulfillment to compete with Amazon.

Stafford holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor’s degree in business administration from Georgetown University.
This appointment comes after Phononic's latest customer installations, including the launch of the Phononic ACS Ecosystem. This system features the ACS Refrigerator and Freezer Totes, ACS Rack Kit, ACS Cart Kit, and ACS Growth Accelerator, which support tri-temperature order consolidation for curbside and delivery operations.
