ENGIE Refrigeration has introduced COOLCARE 4.0, a new cloud-based service designed to enhance monitoring and control of chillers and industrial heat pumps. The system is now available internationally and aims to increase operational reliability through remote access and real-time data monitoring.
The COOLCARE 4.0 platform is integrated into most current models from ENGIE Refrigeration, including QUANTUM Water, QUANTUM Air, and SPECTRUM Water chillers and heat pumps. Older systems can be retrofitted by the company’s service team. The system’s key functions include continuous monitoring of operational data and alarm messages, with a visual interface and automated fault alerts. Remote access allows technicians to adjust settings, perform updates, and resolve issues without needing on-site visits.
According to ENGIE Refrigeration, data security is central to the design of COOLCARE 4.0. The system transfers only operational machine data—such as operating times, compressor data, and efficiency indicators—through a secure connection to the cloud. Personal data is not recorded. A multi-level security concept based on IEC 62443 ensures protection against unauthorised access, and the system allows centralised management of user and group permissions.
The company also offers remote start-up support during the first six weeks after commissioning, providing priority service as part of its broader Digital Cloud Services portfolio.
