EVAPCO started operations at the Phase IV factory of its subsidiary EVAPCO (Shanghai) Refrigeration Equipment Co., Ltd. on August 31, expanding manufacturing capacity for its Asia Pacific business with a facility that offers substantially more floor space than the plant it replaces.
The new site uses a revised overall layout and reworked production processes. The additional space allows manufacturing resources to be allocated more flexibly and is intended to support larger and more frequent orders, alongside improved supply chain responsiveness.
Commissioning ran on a compressed schedule, with engineering milestones closely interlinked and limited time for inspection and trial runs. The operations team, led by Joe Zhou and Alain Liu, handled equipment installation, safety inspections, process streamlining, and personnel training, completing preparatory work within the planned timeframe.
James Horsnell, Managing Director of EVAPCO AP, Richard Wang, General Manager of AP, and Alain Liu, Shanghai Plant Manager, attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony.
