Heating, Air-conditioning & Refrigeration Distributors International (HARDI) has introduced a new People Leader Certification Program aimed at strengthening leadership skills among HVACR professionals. The initiative is designed to support individuals entering management roles or looking to enhance their team leadership capabilities.
The first public session of the certification program was held in Columbus, Ohio, with participation from more than twenty professionals representing HVACR wholesale distribution and manufacturing. The program features a structured curriculum developed by HARDI’s Talent Development team and is tailored to reflect current trends in the HVACR sector.
Course modules focus on practical leadership skills and include topics such as management and organization, goal setting, coaching, communication, workplace ethics, and emotional intelligence. The training is intended to help participants build trust, improve accountability, and enhance team performance.

In addition to public courses, the program is available in a private format, allowing member companies to tailor the training to their specific needs, timing, and organizational structure.
The new certification supports HARDI’s broader mission to position wholesale distributors as the preferred channel for HVACR manufacturers and contractors, alongside its wider range of eLearning, certification, and consulting services.
