New Zealand adds HVAC&R standards collections

Standards New Zealand has introduced new curated standards collections, now including options for the HVAC&R sector. These collections group relevant standards to support specific industries and help professionals maintain quality, safety, efficiency, and regulatory compliance.

The HVAC&R sector now has two dedicated collections. The “HVAC Systems” collection covers heating, ventilation, and air conditioning system design, energy efficiency, and indoor air quality. The “Refrigeration and Air Conditioning” collection includes standards for refrigerant handling, system design, and maintenance for residential and commercial applications.

“This is a project that has been 15 months in the making,” said Gina McMaster, CEO of the HVAC&R Centre. “It means we can again be seen as a valuable industry to New Zealand and how the standards are relevant to us.”

Additional collections have been launched or expanded for acoustics in buildings, general cabling, scaffolding, tiled roofing, working at height, solar PV and battery systems, storage and handling of hazardous substances, and several engineering disciplines.

Standards NZ noted that the curated collections simplify access, can be used online in the field, and are offered at discounted prices compared to purchasing individual standards.
