The Board of Directors of Beijer Ref AB (publ) has appointed Christopher Norbye as new CEO and President of Beijer Ref. Christopher Norbye is currently Executive Vice President and Head of Entrance Systems Division at Assa Abloy. Christopher is expected to start in his new position during the fourth quarter.
The appointment follows the decision by Per Bertland, announced on 27 January 2021, to step down as CEO of Beijer Ref when a successor has been found or during the latter part of 2021 at the latest.

Per Bertland, current CEO, comments: As I have previously announced, I have chosen to leave my role as CEO in 2021 and instead I have joined the Board of Directors. The company is stronger than ever, and this is the right time to initiate an orderly transition of leadership. I am very pleased to hand over the CEO role to Christopher and will continue to fully support Beijer Ref and Christopher through the Board of Directors.
