ENOUGH Project Factsheets Now Available

The ENOUGH project, funded by the European Union’s Horizon 2020 program, has released a series of factsheets summarizing key research findings on sustainable refrigeration and emission reduction. These concise, one-page summaries translate complex academic studies into accessible insights for industry professionals, policymakers, and researchers.

Launched in October 2021, ENOUGH focuses on reducing greenhouse gas emissions from the food sector through innovative refrigeration technologies. The project supports the EU Farm to Fork strategy by providing tools and methods to decarbonize the entire food value chain, from processing and storage to transport and retail. Coordinated by SINTEF Ocean (Norway), ENOUGH brings together 28 partners from 12 European countries, integrating expertise from research, industry, and policy sectors.

The project is structured into 11 work packages that address both technical and non-technical aspects of emission reduction. Several demonstrators have been selected, and key deliverables have been submitted. To enhance collaboration and impact, ENOUGH has established governance bodies, including an IP management group, an ethics committee, and an advisory council.

As a key partner, the International Institute of Refrigeration (IIR) plays a central role in sharing research findings and promoting best practices in sustainable refrigeration. The newly published ENOUGH factsheets can be accessed through the project’s website: ENOUGH Factsheets.
