EVAPCO has introduced PuRe-JET, a pumpless recirculation adiabatic system designed to simplify operation, reduce maintenance, and support efficient thermal performance. The system eliminates mechanical pumps to reduce system complexity, water usage, and long-term operational costs.
PuRe-JET uses a demand-based control strategy to respond to changing operating conditions. Under standard conditions, energy-efficient fans ramp up as load and ambient temperatures increase. When additional cooling capacity is required, staged adiabatic assist is activated to maintain temperature setpoints.
In Stage 1 operation, make-up water is introduced and directed through EVAPCO’s proprietary pumpless ejector device. Using venturi action, the ejector draws recirculated water from the tank and accelerates it through the system, providing adiabatic performance without a pump.
The water distribution is designed to fully saturate the adiabatic media, lowering entering air temperature and increasing heat rejection across the coil. The system recirculates unused water and manages bleed-off to control cycles of concentration.
As thermal demand rises, Stage 2 is automatically initiated and follows the same sequence of operation to maintain performance under peak conditions.
