Secop expand line its hermetic compressor with refrigerant R290

Secop, an expert in advanced hermetic compressor technologies and commercial refrigeration solutions, achieves approx. 40% lower energy consumption versus standard solutions with its new SLVE18CN electronically controlled compressor with hydrocarbon refrigerant.

New regulations in Europe, including the F-Gas Regulation and Ecodesign, which initiate the transition to low GWP refrigerants and better system efficiency, are driving the development of a more efficient and green light commercial refrigeration market. Secop optimized a vertical multideck cabinet with a net volume of 1,062 liters for food retail in MBP application at a working temperature of +2 degrees Celsius with its new SLVE18CN that provide the following benefits.

There are two major environmental benefits using the new SLVE18CN compressor. In general, the use of hydrocarbon R290 as refrigerant offers an ozone depletion potential of zero as well a negligible global warming potential. Compare to R404A, it can reduce the refrigerant charge by up to -63% and the refrigerant cost by up to -80%.

The new SLVE18CN offers as well benefits to users. The electronic controlled SLVE18CN can achieve the same cooling capacity as a 27.88cc fixed-speed drive compressor that improves logistic cost with 21% savings on space and 23% savings on weight. Compared to the R404A FSD, it provides more than 40% reduction in energy consumption. The Return of Investment (ROI) is less than 2 months. Electronics con- troller could provide more accurate temperature control to secure food and drink safety. Furthermore, the cabinet lifetime and reliability are longer, while the maintenance is easier. With the SLVE18CN, Secop  achieves a better noise reduction.
