Heatcraft Unveils PRO3 Packaged Unit Cooler at AHR Expo 2025

Heatcraft Refrigeration Products is showcasing its new PRO3 Packaged Unit Cooler at AHR Expo 2025 (Booth 1525). Designed to simplify installation and optimize storage, the PRO3 system combines a unit cooler and condensing unit into one compact, factory-assembled solution.

The PRO3 Packaged Unit Cooler is intended for commercial refrigeration applications such as walk-in coolers and freezers, serving markets like food service, food retail, cold storage warehouses, and process cooling. Its compact design aims to maximize storage space, making it ideal for small- to medium-sized restaurants and convenience stores.

Fully assembled, evacuated, charged, run-tested, and wired at the factory, the system eliminates the need for additional components or refrigerant piping. PRO3 units are precharged with refrigerant, allowing for quick startup. Serviceability is enhanced with a removable top panel, secured by latches, for straightforward access to internal components.

The PRO3 system uses R-448A refrigerant, meeting CARB and U.S. Climate Alliance sustainability standards. The system incorporates energy-efficient scroll or reciprocating compressors and features either single- or dual-speed EC motors, depending on the model. P2 and P3 units utilize microchannel condensers to improve efficiency and provide corrosion resistance.

The unit supports medium-temperature air and electric defrost as well as low-temperature electric defrost. It is covered by a two-year parts warranty, ensuring reliability and peace of mind for end users.

By combining ease of installation, energy efficiency, and regulatory compliance, the PRO3 Packaged Unit Cooler is a practical choice for businesses seeking sustainable and space-saving refrigeration solutions.
