Tecumseh Launches Skills Training Initiative with Advanced Manufacturing Equipment in India

Tecumseh has inaugurated Project Kaushal Setu, a corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative developed in collaboration with United Way of Delhi at CMRA Government Polytechnic in Sanghi, Haryana, India. The project aims to strengthen links between technical education and industry by providing students with access to manufacturing technology, practical training, and industry exposure.

The initiative was formally inaugurated in September 2026 by Ricardo Maciel, Global CEO of Tecumseh, and Joao Daniel Dobner, Chief Operations Officer. The inauguration included the commissioning of new training infrastructure comprising a robotic welding cell and a CNC Vertical Machining Center (VMC).

Project Kaushal Setu focuses on developing students’ technical capabilities, problem-solving skills, and workplace readiness. The equipment and training opportunities are intended to support engineering education and prepare students for careers in the industrial sector.

The partnership began with the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) in July 2026 by Virginie Millet, Global HR Director at Tecumseh. The agreement established a framework for collaboration on youth skills development, community engagement, and closer cooperation between industry and academia.

During the inauguration, Maciel discussed his professional journey into engineering and encouraged students to pursue careers in technology and engineering. He described the initiative as “not only for today, but about tomorrow”. Dobner emphasized the importance of providing appropriate learning infrastructure, while Simran Kaur, Director HR, highlighted the connection between education, employment, and the development of future engineers.
