Trane, part of Trane Technologies, has made its Data Center Reference Kits available within Autodesk Revit and Autodesk Forma. According to the company, the system-level thermal management reference kits are intended to support the design and delivery of high-density AI factories and data center projects.
The Reference Kits draw on Trane Technologies’ thermal management reference design work for large-scale AI and data center environments, including recent design optimizations and expanded Trane Continuum Rubin DSX reference designs. Within Autodesk workflows, the kits provide design, engineering and delivery teams with shared project resources from early design through commissioning.
Trane said the resources are designed to reduce duplicate modeling and disconnected handoffs while supporting coordinated model review, issue management and stakeholder alignment. The Reference Kits also bring thermal strategy into Autodesk workflows used for building design and early-stage planning.
The release builds on the previously announced integration of Trane TRACE software with Revit. That collaboration brings Trane’s HVAC design and energy analysis capabilities into Autodesk BIM workflows, allowing architects and engineers to conduct analysis earlier and reduce duplicate modeling effort.
