Lineage has received authorization for its Murcia facility to operate as a Customs Bonded Warehouse (Depósito Aduanero), marking the company’s first bonded warehouse in Spain. The authorization expands Lineage’s network of customs-enabled facilities across Europe.
The facility allows import customers to store temperature-controlled food products under customs supervision until they are ready for market release. Importers can hold inventory while awaiting duty and quota resets or regulatory clearances, as well as time market entry around pricing conditions.
The bonded warehouse operations are designed to support compliance, traceability, inventory control and audit readiness. The site also provides cold-chain capabilities for refrigerated and frozen food.
Located in southeastern Spain, the facility has highway connections to central Spain and is positioned near the Mediterranean ports of Cartagena, Alicante and Valencia. International supply chains can also connect through Algeciras, described by Lineage as Spain’s primary transhipment hub linking Europe, Asia, Africa and the Americas.
The authorization brings Lineage’s European bonded warehouse network to more than 50 facilities.
