Clivet has introduced SMARTPACK3 (CKN-iM Series), a range of packaged rooftop air conditioners featuring Full Inverter technology and R454C refrigerant. Designed for medium-attendance commercial spaces, including shops, outlet villages, showrooms and production areas, the units provide year-round temperature and humidity control while adapting to building thermal loads.
The series uses R454C refrigerant with a global warming potential (GWP) of 148. According to Clivet, this reduces refrigerant-related emissions expressed in tCO2eq by up to 95% compared with the previous generation using R410A. The units meet the requirements of EU F-Gas Regulation 2024/573, applicable from January 1, 2027, to packaged units up to 50 kW (approximately 170,600 BTU/h).
SMARTPACK3 combines inverter compressors with EC brushless fans to adjust operation according to thermal demand and reduce on/off cycling. Clivet reports seasonal performance levels 30% and 16% above the minimum requirements of the ErP Directive. The CCK-REVO version incorporates the patented REVO thermodynamic recovery system, which recovers energy from exhaust air to increase cooling and heating capacity without additional dedicated refrigerant circuits.
The units support remote cloud control through the CLIVET EYE app and integration with the INTELLIAIR plant supervision system. Options and accessories have also been standardized with Clivet’s existing rooftop product range.
SMARTPACK3 is designed for replacement of previous CKN-XHE2i units, retaining compatible airflow configurations and compact dimensions. The operating range extends down to -20°C (-4°F) in heating mode, while maximum airflow reaches 12,000 m3/h (approximately 7,063 cfm).
