Vertiv Acquires Ireland-Based KES to Expand Data Center Cooling Services

Vertiv has completed its acquisition of King Environmental Services Ltd. (KES), a provider of fluid management, commissioning and load-testing services for high-density, liquid-cooled data centers. The acquisition expands Vertiv’s thermal management services capabilities across Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

The transaction builds on Vertiv’s North American fluid management operations, including its 2025 acquisition of PurgeRite. KES, headquartered near Dublin, Ireland, serves customers throughout the EMEA region.

The combined capabilities cover cooling system commissioning, testing, fluid management and ongoing operations. According to Vertiv, clean, balanced and validated fluid systems support heat transfer and equipment efficiency, while thermal load testing helps verify infrastructure readiness before facilities enter operation.

The expanded services also address regional requirements for fluid handling, treatment and disposal. Vertiv aims to provide customers with a single partner for these activities as liquid-cooled data center infrastructure becomes more complex.

“As computing density increases, the performance of cooling infrastructure depends not only on engineering and system design but on execution in the field,” said Giordano Albertazzi, Chief Executive Officer of Vertiv.

Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. Vertiv stated that the transaction is not expected to have a material impact on its financial results.
