Danfoss has released KoolProg 5.7, an updated version of its refrigeration controller configuration and programming software. The release reduces programming times for AK-CC25 and AK-CC55 controllers from approximately 3–4 minutes to 20–40 seconds, according to the company’s October 2026 Tech Insider bulletin.
The update introduces automatic firmware upgrades for EKE 100 and EKE 110 controllers. EKE 100 units running software versions earlier than 3.13 require a two-step upgrade process, while EKE 110 controllers support automatic upgrades across all software versions.
KoolProg 5.7 also adds compatibility with updated firmware for AK-CC25, AK-CC55, EKE 100, and ERC 112D controllers. Additional ERC 112D VSC variants with condenser fan speed control are now supported.
The software expands RS-485 communication through KoolKey for selected AK-CC55 controllers. This feature requires KoolKey PV05 or later, with the PV05 release still forthcoming.
The shorter programming times could benefit commercial refrigeration equipment manufacturers and service providers handling large numbers of controllers. Danfoss specifies that a stable internet connection is required to achieve the improved programming performance.
