Danfoss Power Solutions announced the appointment of Anup Deshmukh as Managing Director of its India business, effective immediately. The newly created role gives Deshmukh responsibility for business growth and execution of Power Solutions strategies across India, with his position based in Pune.
Deshmukh will report directly to Henrik V. Jørgensen, President of the Controls division. He will lead the Danfoss Power Solutions India Leadership Team and represent the Power Solutions segment on the Danfoss India country governance board.
His responsibilities include developing relationships with customers, partners and other stakeholders, as well as creating and executing strategies for attracting, developing and retaining employees across multiple functions. The role combines commercial, operational and organizational responsibilities for the company’s Power Solutions activities in India.
Deshmukh brings nearly 28 years of experience in sales, business development, general management, manufacturing operations and strategic growth. He joins Danfoss from Parker Hannifin, where he held senior leadership positions covering India, China and Southeast Asia. His most recent position was Country Sales Director for Parker Hannifin’s Filtration, Engineering Material, Instrumentation, Fluid Control and Motion Control groups in India.
Before joining Parker Hannifin, Deshmukh worked as Sales Manager for General Electric in India. He holds a degree in chemical engineering from Shivaji University, as well as diplomas in marketing and business management from NMIMS and ICFAI, respectively.
