Carrier Japan Corporation will release a new model in the Super Multiu VRF Series using R32 refrigerant in December 2025, in line with Japan’s F-gas legislation.
The new system adopts R32 refrigerant with a Global Warming Potential (GWP) of 675. Compared to the refrigerant used in previous models, this reduces environmental impact by about two-thirds. The unit features a DC triple rotary compressor and Carrier’s patented Vane Sealing Injection Mechanism, designed to enhance heating efficiency and energy-saving performance.
Safety measures include built-in refrigerant leak sensors in all indoor units and an added shut-off valve unit to improve protection for users and installation personnel.
For comfort and indoor air quality, the 4-way ceiling cassette indoor unit is equipped with a UVC drain water sterilization function and supports air purification.
