Fieldpiece Instruments has introduced the DRX3, a new leak detector designed to identify a wide range of refrigerants and combustible gases with a single sensor. The tool is intended for use across HVACR systems, including cooling, refrigeration, and heating applications.
The DRX3 detects A1, A2L, and A3 refrigerants and blends, as well as tracer gas, natural gas, and propane. It meets ATEX Zone 2 and Class I, Division 2 compliance requirements, making it suitable for hazardous environments and flammable refrigerant systems.
Key features include a heated diode sensor with fast response time, multiple leak detection indicators—such as flashing LEDs, audible alerts, and an on-screen display—and a flexible probe for hard-to-reach areas. The device is compatible with the Job Link® System App, allowing technicians to log leak data and generate reports.
