A-Gas Singapore Empower Gain City with Refrigerant Training

A-Gas in Singapore has successfully collaborated with Gain City, a leading air conditioning retailer, to deliver a specialised training program for its employees. This program aims to equip Gain City's workforce with the necessary skills to manage refrigerants responsibly and safely.

As an NEA-licensed E-Waste Recycler, Gain City is committed to environmental responsibility. Proper training is crucial for employees to effectively "pump down" and recover used gases, crucial for handling decommissioned units containing harmful refrigerants like R22 and R410A.

The training addressed challenges such as preventing the release of high GWP refrigerants into the atmosphere and ensuring compliance with NEA regulations. Through expert-led sessions, participants learned effective recovery processes using A-Gas-provided equipment.

The results demonstrate the success of the training, with Gain City's employees now skilled in responsible refrigerant handling, underscoring the importance of collaboration in Lifecycle Refrigerant Management (LRM).

"The trainers made the content approachable for all experience levels," said POH Ching Kiong, Senior E-Waste Manager at Gain City, highlighting the program's impact.
