The deal, pending regulatory approvals, will add HORECO's CO2 and NH3 expertise and more than 90 employees to the international group.

SYCLEF expands in Romania through HORECO partnership

Romanian industrial refrigeration group HORECO is set to join SYCLEF, an international specialist in commercial and industrial refrigeration and air conditioning. The transaction will mark SYCLEF’s second operation in Romania.

Completion remains subject to regulatory approvals from the Romanian Competition Council and the Commission for the Examination of Foreign Direct Investments.

Founded in 1995, HORECO Holding comprises HORECO Impex and FRIGOCLIMA. The group supplies refrigeration solutions to the food and logistics sectors and works with CO2 and NH3 installations, energy management and optimization systems.

HORECO employs more than 90 people and generates revenue exceeding €20 million. CEO Florin Niculescu will remain a shareholder and continue to lead the company’s management and strategic development.

“Joining SYCLEF opens a new chapter in our development. We share the same culture of technical excellence, the same closeness to our customers, and the same ambition to build a leading European player, all while preserving the identity and values that make HORECO strong,” said Florin Niculescu, CEO of HORECO.
