eurammon held its annual members’ meeting on 25 and 26 June 2026 in Belgium, combining a technical visit, a review of activities in 2025, planning for 2026 and the launch of its 30th-anniversary celebrations.
Members visited the Tiense Suiker sugar factory, a Südzucker subsidiary, where they attended a presentation and site tour covering the facility and GEA’s new high-temperature heat pump installation using pentane as a natural refrigerant. Sebastian Schultze of GEA and Bart Aerts of Tiense Suiker led the presentation and tour.
On the second day, members reviewed eurammon’s activities and achievements in 2025 and discussed strategic priorities for the year ahead, with a focus on partnerships and external representation.
Founded in 1996 by 18 members, eurammon was established as the refrigeration and air-conditioning industry responded to the phase-out of CFCs under the Montreal Protocol and tightening HCFC regulations. The association initially served as a technical forum for ammonia specialists and has since developed into an advocacy network for natural refrigerants.
Further activities marking eurammon’s 30th anniversary are planned at the association’s booth during Chillventa 2026 in Nuremberg.
