Thermo King’s ColdCube is the chilled goods solution for Officedrop
As a result of extending their product range, Officedrop were looking for a solution for its diverse and expanding customer offer, which now required both chilled and ambient distribution. After talking to Marshall Fleet Solutions, the Bristol based company then decided to specify the majority of its new fleet of Ford Transit vans with the Thermo King ColdCube cooling system.
Officedrop had approached Marshall Fleet Solutions as experts in temperature control for recommendation and guidance and, as the main supplier of Thermo King transport refrigeration equipment in the UK, Marshall Fleet Solutions proposed the ColdCube units as the solution for Officedrop’s diverse loads.
During Officedrop’s new distribution vehicle fleet acquisition programme, MFS guided them through the ColdCube process from the initial concept to the units being installed in 45 of the company’s 66 strong Ford Transit fleet, in readiness for use across the nationwide Officedrop network.
Established in 2007, Officedrop provides a nationwide supply and delivery service of workplace fresh fruit, snack boxes, beverage essentials and flowers direct into their customers businesses and office premises. With the widening of the company’s product portfolio requiring refrigeration, including fresh milk, there arose the need for an efficient temperature-controlled storage facility within each delivery vehicle, to ensure that the workplace essentials they supply are the freshest they can be for their customers.

With powerful cooling from 20° C to 0° C and freezing options from 20° C to -21° C, the Thermo King ColdCube containers can be easily moved from one application to another, maintaining consistent temperature with a digital controller for efficient operation. They feature a visible user interface to view current temperature and status without opening the container and a digital readout for precise temperature set point control.
