AEFYT has created a new working group to promote the development and promotion of natural refrigerants, which includes more than 20 leading companies in the research and commercialization of plants and equipment with these refrigerants that As is the case with ammonia, CO2 or propane, they are used in an increasing number of refrigeration installations.
Among its objectives, this working group will promote the development of technical-commercial documentation for its dissemination by all the communication media in the refrigeration sector, with special emphasis on users and applications.
“Given the commitment to obtain greater energy efficiency and reduce emissions of equivalent tons of CO2 in refrigeration facilities, it is expected that these fluids will play an increasingly relevant role in the future, this has made the Association mobilize to promote the use of this type of refrigerants ”, said Manuel Lamúa, manager of AEFYT.
For some years now, the Association has participated in different forums in which the progress made in the field of natural refrigerants is analyzed, as well as periodically offering specific training courses. The significant effort of the refrigeration industry in recent years to reduce emissions and increase energy efficiency has resulted in a large catalog of refrigerant fluids of all kinds, in which natural refrigerants have found a place of great relevance.
