Danfoss has introduced the ICFL 20 direct expansion/regulating valve for ICF systems, designed for precise refrigerant control in industrial refrigeration. The motorized valve is designed to work with NeoCharge ammonia expansion and is suitable for pumped recirculated systems and zero superheat WDX applications.
The ICFL 20 is optimized for ammonia and CO2 and can be configured as a stand-alone valve or as a function module for ICF valve stations. According to Danfoss, it provides consistent refrigerant injection and supports stable temperatures during transient and part-load operation.
For NeoCharge ammonia expansion, the valve pairs with the EKE 100 driver, available separately, which converts signals from the EKE450 controller. This setup supports zero superheat WDX control.
Danfoss says the separation of the actuator and driver is intended to support wiring, commissioning and service. The ICFL 20 is also designed to provide smooth step responses during startup, pull-down and varying load conditions.
