Beijer Ref officially opened its new training academy in South Korea, expanding its global network of educational facilities focused on natural refrigerant technologies. Beijer Ref Academy Korea is the company’s eighth training academy worldwide.
According to Beijer Ref Korea, the facility aims to promote natural refrigerant technologies and develop technical skills within South Korea’s refrigeration industry. Training activities will support the transition toward more sustainable refrigeration solutions, including the development of expertise in CO2 refrigeration systems.
The opening ceremony was attended by representatives of Beijer Ref’s global leadership, industry partners, customers and other stakeholders.
The launch follows an earlier cooperation agreement between Beijer Ref and the Korea Refrigerants Recycling Engineers Center (KRRC). The agreement focuses on developing CO2 refrigeration expertise and strengthening training infrastructure in South Korea and the wider Asian region.
The new academy forms part of Beijer Ref’s broader initiative to expand technical education and professional training in natural refrigerants for the refrigeration and HVAC sectors.
