Gradian Thermal Solutions has opened a new 500,000-square-foot (approximately 46,450 m²) manufacturing facility in Dayton, Minnesota, USA, following an investment of approximately $60 million. Production began in June 2026, and the company is continuing to increase capacity for thermal management equipment serving data center, industrial, and commercial applications.
The expansion brings Gradian’s total manufacturing footprint to approximately 780,000 square feet (72,460 m²), including its existing 180,000-square-foot (16,720 m²) facility in Maple Grove, Minnesota, and 100,000-square-foot (9,290 m²) facility in Guadalajara, Mexico. The company expects to increase its workforce from approximately 150 to around 1,000 employees companywide.
The new facility expands manufacturing capacity across Gradian’s portfolio of liquid cooling systems, chillers, air handling equipment, commissioning products, and prefabricated solutions. It includes assembly lines, fabrication equipment, and an end-of-line testing laboratory dedicated to the company’s chiller product line.
“The Dayton expansion is a deliberate investment in our ability to meet the growing demands of mission-critical thermal management applications for our ever-growing customer base,” said Jason Ulett, Chief Operating Officer of Gradian. “At the core of this expansion is a vertically integrated operating model, enabling dedicated assembly and testing capabilities specifically designed to ensure quality, performance, and scalability.”
Gradian is recruiting for engineering, project management, accounting, production, fabrication, and assembly positions at the new facility. The company also plans to continue expanding its operations across North America.
