Copeland Opens Sustainable Solutions Gallery in China

The Suzhou facility highlights low-GWP compressors, CO2 refrigeration, hydronic climate control and IoT-enabled monitoring systems.

Copeland Opens Sustainable Solutions Gallery in China

Copeland officially opened its Sustainable Solutions Gallery in Suzhou, China, on October 14. The facility showcases the company’s HVACR technologies across industrial and commercial applications, residential climate control, cold chain refrigeration and intelligent data systems. The opening ceremony brought together Copeland’s global and regional leadership, customers and partners.

The Industrial & Commercial Solutions area features technologies for industrial heating, rail transit, battery energy storage systems (BESS) and data centers. Exhibits include Vilter single-screw compressors, high-temperature heat pumps operating at 130°C (266°F), variable-speed solutions and an oil-free centrifugal compressor featuring Aero-lift bearing technology. The compressor is designed for applications including data centers, healthcare facilities, large chillers and heat recovery systems, with compatibility for low-GWP refrigerants.

The Residential & Sensi Hydro area presents high-efficiency variable-speed scroll compressors and Sensi Hydro, an integrated hydronic climate control solution developed for Asian markets. The system combines smart climate algorithms, centralized management and air quality monitoring.

The Sustainable Cold Chain Solutions area covers transport refrigeration, cold storage, foodservice and food retail. Featured technologies include marine and truck compressors, monitoring systems and CO2 refrigeration solutions. Copeland’s transcritical booster system uses Stream CO2 variable-speed compressors, ZO/ZOD compressors and iPro controllers. The subcritical cascade system combines ZO/ZOD low-temperature compressors with ZB/ZBD medium-temperature compressors operating with HFC refrigerants. The NewCool transcritical condensing unit incorporates variable-frequency scroll technology, electronic controls and Dynamic Vapor Injection (DVI) technology for improved system stability during high-temperature conditions.

An eight-screen Intelligent Data System Center demonstrates the integration of hardware, IoT and cloud software. It displays real-time information from residential climate systems, retail refrigeration, cold chain tracking and industrial heating applications, including data from Oversight, ProAct and REFCON.

“The gallery reflects our commitment to working closely with customers and partners across Asia-Pacific,” said Michael Toh, President of Asia-Pacific at Copeland. “By combining our global engineering resources with Suzhou’s local R&D and manufacturing capabilities, we can better respond to customer needs and support solutions tailored to real-world applications.”
