The International Network of Women in Cooling (INWIC) welcomed ASHRAE President Sarah E. Maston to its booth at Chillventa 2026 in Nuremberg, Germany. The visit highlighted women’s contributions to the refrigeration, air conditioning and heat pump sector.
Gratiela-Maria Tarlea, INWIC Board Member representing AREA, also attended the gathering. Participants recognized emerging talent in the industry, including Milena Boettcher from Germany.
Boettcher won Category B (Women in Cooling) in the fourth edition of the Women & Youth in Cooling 2026 Video Competition, organized by AREA and World Refrigeration Day (WRD). She was present at the INWIC booth with her award.
The gathering supported INWIC’s mission to connect women working in the sector, recognize their achievements and encourage greater participation. INWIC congratulated Boettcher on her award and thanked Maston, ASHRAE and AREA for their continued support.
