Epta showcases EptaTechnica refrigeration systems

At EuroShop, Epta presented EptaTechnica, the Group’s System Engineering brand, in the “GOOD INNOVATES ACROSS EVERY COOLING SYSTEM” area. The brand covers refrigeration solutions ranging from modular power packs to high-capacity systems for the Retail and Ho.Re.Ca. sectors.

Epta said EptaTechnica is guided by the principle of “Future Proof Technologies,” with systems designed to be interoperable across climates and geographies. According to the company, the solutions are developed through an integrated engineering process and are intended to adapt over time to regulatory changes, energy scenarios and operational needs.

The company also highlighted EptaTechnica’s consulting offering. By combining hands-on know-how with analytical tools, the brand supports clients with energy consumption forecasts and payback time estimates to help assess investments against sustainability and economic targets.

Epta presented ECO2Compacta as an example of standardisation for convenience stores. The unit is designed for indoor and outdoor installation and offers capacities from 15 to 45 kW for medium temperature (approx. 51,000 to 154,000 BTU/h) and from 0 to 9 kW for low temperature (approx. 0 to 30,700 BTU/h). The company said low noise emissions and single-side access are intended to simplify installation and maintenance in restricted technical spaces.

At the other end of the range, Epta presented the ECO2GIANT power pack as a customised solution for hypermarkets. Developed for the Australian market, the system includes a bespoke electrical board, customised operating pressures of 130/80 bar (approx. 1,885/1,160 psi), and a configuration combining CO2 refrigeration and air conditioning in a single architecture.

According to Epta, these two systems represent the limits of a broader power pack portfolio, with refrigeration capacities calibrated to operational needs across different store formats and market requirements. The company said this approach is intended to balance efficiency, scalability and performance.
